Wyatt, The Game-Loving Writer

Pick a player, roll some dice, and you just might find yourself in one of Wyatt’s custom board games. His passion for history and board games has led him to many exciting places, such as the San Diego Historical Games Convention where he proudly debuted an abstract strategy board game based on the Battle of Nagashino.
Speaking of strategy, Wyatt has learned to embrace Sentence Center’s outlining process to help him find his rhythm during essay-writing. Similar to the history books he loves, which are organized by time period and location, Wyatt’s essays are segmented into distinct body paragraphs that help his ideas flow coherently.
Drawing on his knowledge of historical battles, Sci-Fi, and Shakespeare, Wyatt has also built striking worlds and complex characters in the Advanced Creative Writing course, where he continues to impress us with stories that grapple with humanity’s difficult decisions in the darkest of war-torn moments. He is currently working on a novel, and we have no doubts that he will soon achieve his goal of publishing his writing in a literary journal.
Wyatt started taking classes at Sentence Center when he was in second grade, and it’s hard to believe that he will be entering sixth grade at Crystal Springs Uplands School this fall. How quickly the time flies, and how extraordinary the accomplishments he has achieved since then!
We hope you continue to nurture your passions, Wyatt!
